Saman Ahsan is Global Leadership Fellow and Manager at the World Economic Forum's Council of 100 West Islamic World Dialogue (C-100). Saman has previously worked as a National Coordinator of UNICEF's Girl Child Project, Pakistan for 6 years. Her articles have appeared in various magazines, including: IPPF's Real Lives, South Asia; Blue Chip Magazine for Business, Pakistan. Saman's Masters' Dissertation was on The Girl Child Project Ð A Participatory Evaluation. She has also produced and directed a documentary on the Girl Child Project and was interviewed in a program on West-Islamic relations in a local Québecois channel. Previous awards include: Sauvé Scholarship, Montreal (2003-2004). Saman has also participated in many international conferences and workshops and gave presentations including UNICEF Training on Community Mobilization for Child Rights, Bangkok & Ubon-Ratchathani (2000); SAARC Regional Girl Child Symposium, Rawalpindi (2001); UN General Assembly Special Session for Children, New York (2002); SAARC Regional Youth Workshop, Kathmandu (2002); SAARC Conference on Safe Motherhood, Colombo (2002). Saman was born in Lahore Pakistan.
